BSW presents a Grant Writing Workshop at Texas A&M- August 2019
The ability to clearly and effectively communicate your proposed research ideas is critical for grant funding success. This 2-day workshop will focus on important aspects of grantsmanship that will help you win funding and will also help generate confidence in your ability to execute your plan. We will cover general grantsmanship strategies, new NIH grant requirements, general grant philosophy with specific focus on NIH F- and K- fellowships, organization and research strategy, peer review process, scoring criteria, and much more.

Preparing for the Job Search Workshop at Texas A&M College Station, presented by BioScience Writers- July 2018
Communicating your expertise and value to a potential employer requires a clear and effective strategy. This workshop will discuss how to prepare many documents associated with job applications, including resumes, CVs, cover letters, teaching philosophies, and research statements. Bring your CV to swap with colleagues and get immediate and actionable feedback. In addition to the written portion of your job application, we will provide helpful advice on other aspects of the job search process, from assessing your values, skills and identifying job opportunities to selecting references and responding to tough questions at an interview. Applying for a job will always be stressful but knowing what to do (and what not to do) will give you the confidence to land a great job!
