Renee E., Ph.D.
Renee earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Rice University after which she taught high school biology and chemistry. She returned to school and earned a Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in 2014 for her work on craniofacial development and brachial arch patterning. She is currently doing postdoctoral research in the field of cochlear hair cell regeneration. Her research focuses on profiling gene expression in chick basilar papillae and mouse cochleas to identify differences that may be key to unlocking the regenerative potential of mammalian cochlear supporting cells. Renee has edited a number of research papers, grant and research proposals, and presentation materials since she began working in academia.
