Archna B., Ph.D.
Archna B. received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Her Ph.D. focused on the protein-DNA binding and cleavage reactions in Tn5 transposition. As an NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow in the Bacteriology department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she studied the symbiotic relationship between Xenorhabdus bacteria and Steinernema nematodes. She has published scientific articles in journals such as the Journal of Bacteriology, the Journal of Biological Chemistry, and the Journal of Molecular Biology and has experience editing scientific manuscripts. Her areas of expertise include bacterial genetics as well as nucleic acid and protein biochemistry, and she has a broad knowledge of molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology.
