Adrienne M., Ph.D.
Adrienne M. completed a B.A. in chemistry summa cum laude from Agnes Scott College. After working as a laboratory manager at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Division of Bacterial and Mycotic Diseases, she completed a Ph.D. in virology from the Department of Immunology and Microbiology at Emory University. Her graduate research focused on mechanisms of immune evasion and persistent infections by human adenovirus. Her post-doctoral training includes more than 10 years of research experience in the Department of Molecular Virology and Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine focusing on disease and pathogenesis of human polyomaviruses. She has also worked as a consultant for a clinical stage biotechnology company. She has experience in drafting, editing, and submitting research articles to peer-reviewed publications, writing protocols and grant applications to NIH and private foundations, and in writing regulatory documents.
