Stephanie C., D.D.S.
Stephanie received a B.A. in psychology from Purdue University, where she graduated with honors. While there, she worked as a research assistant and pursued honors independent research examining the role of serotonin receptors in major depression. She went on to earn her dental degree from The University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She subsequently completed a general practice residency at the Medical College of Ohio, where, in addition to treating dental patients, she had clinical rotations in otorhinolaryngology and community AIDS service. After working for several years as a general dentist, she completed masters level courses in orofacial pain and oral medicine at the University of Southern California. Stephanie then transitioned to a freelance medical writing and editing career, and now has more than 5 years of experience writing and editing medical manuscripts. She has earned the American Medical Writers Association Essential Skills Certificate in Medical Writing and is currently finishing Stanford University School of Medicine's Writing in Science Certificate Program. Her areas of special interest are broad and include dentistry, neurology, allergies, chronic pain, psychiatry/psychology, oncology, otorhinolaryngology, infectious diseases, and endocrinology.
