Karyn M., Ph.D.
Karyn received a B.A. in psychology from Bryn Mawr College, an M.S. in psychology from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in psychology from Emory University. She completed two post-doctoral fellowships, one at Emory University and one at Harvard Medical School. Her research is on the neurobiological mechanisms underlying the acquisition and elimination of maladaptive conditioned responses contributing to psychiatric illness.
Karyn has received funding from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), and has authored a number of empirical papers, review papers, commentaries, and book chapters. She serves as an ad hoc reviewer for journals including British Journal of Pharmacology , Biological Psychiatry , Learning and Memory , Neurobiology of Learning and Memory , Neuropsychopharmacology , Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Behavior , Physiology and Behavior , and Psychopharmacology.
