Nicole D., Ph.D.
Nicole earned her Bachelor's degree in environmental science at Northwestern University and her Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology from Vanderbilt University. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and later at the Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling at the University of Houston. Her research experience and publications includes the diverse fields of cellular trafficking, lipogenesis/lipolysis and zebrafish developmental toxicology. Nicole has experience with techniques including confocal microscopy, molecular biology, and statistical analysis of large datasets. She also has experience in writing and disseminating distance education courses.
