Vivian L., Ph.D.
Vivian received her Ph.D.in Developmental, Regenerative, and Stem Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. In her thesis work, she identified a novel mutation in a family with a history of vascular disease. Using CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology, she introduced this human mutation into mice to determine the mechanism by which this mutation leads to vascular pathogenesis. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where she continues to study genetic causes of cardiovascular diseases. She is a recipient of the Individual Predoctoral NRSA Fellowship from the NIH, and her work has been published in Nanotoxicology, Am. J. Respir. Crit. Care Med., Science Advances, and Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A.
